Mike Jones, COO, Safety Director


Mr Jones began his managerial expertise in 1972 and worked in the private industry, as well as in federal and state agencies. He has managed over 80 gasoline contaminated site remediations, resulting in IEPA closure and ensuring clients received maximum financial reimbursement from the LUST Fund. He has been published twice in The Environmental Times on Underground Storage Tanks (UST) and authored a 300-page correspondence course on petroleum environmental issues. As Chief Operating Officer, he oversees an organizational structure consisting of 3 companies, totalling 62 personnel and 5 budget centers, providing engineering, environmental, and architectural services.

Illinois State Fire Marshal, Springfield, IL
Inspected over 150 UST projects ensuring contractors provided safe and technically correct services. Rendered regulatory and technical assistance to tank owners.

US Air Force, Chanute, AFB, IL
Awarded 2 Air Force Meritorious Service Medals and 3 Commendation Medals for developing environmental emergency controls to prevent petroleum releases. Developed and taught OSHA Hazardous Communication and other Safety courses. Managed staff of over 15 with over 70 personnel under my direction.

Niemann Foods, Inc, Quincy, IL
Designed, planned, and implemented contract bid documents for an unattended UST system for food chain to include 3 USTs, 8 dispensers, canopy, site development, soil sampling, and providing general oversight for the entire project.

Webb's Trucking, Norm's Service Station, Karlock Garage, Brake's Amoco
Identified and corrected UST registration discrepancies within the OSFM record system enabling each owner to save thousands of dollars through the LUST Fund reimbursement program.
